#IssaEATS: Gastro Park @ Kapitolyo!

Kapitolyo is just a stone's throw away from my place (okay, that's too much of a stretch, but it IS near), so having visited Gastro Park a few times before, I was delighted in visiting the revamped food park again!

What makes Gastro Park different from other food parks today isn't the cool hipster and neon interior, but because it's the only food park that offers unlimited dishes from each stalls!

But before anything else, we started Blogger's Night with a challenge: The Carolina Reaper Challenge care of Tolyo's Soup n' Grill. With their Sweet n' Heat BBQ with the Carolina Reaper (spiciest chili), the game was to finish two of the sticks as quickly as possible without crying or giving up.

And being the girl who eats chili with her food (and with Tabasco in almost anything), I enjoyed and wolfed down the spicy BBQ, winning! :p

After the challenge, we were given passports to choose one dish we want to try per stall. Here's what we got!

In Tolyo's Soup n' Grill, they brought out a new dish: The Flaming Rosemary Garlic Wagyu Bistek. Perfect match with beer or rice (most likely both, LOL).

I remember this delicious iced tea bowl from Surfries (90 PHP)! Quenching and good for four to give people, though everyone finished it within minutes after the spicy BBQ challenge. Surfries is also known for their delicious flavored fries (Their Kaboom [145 PHP] is the bomb!). You can choose to get unli Sweet Corn Fries for just 99 PHP.

Ball Shack has Pikapika balls platter (198 PHP) is the perfect pulutan to go with beer.

The Wrecking Ball (150 PHP) is deep-fried Mac n' Cheese balls, so you are getting a very cheesy and carb-filled delight in a bite. You can also rekindle your love with fishballs by getting unlimited dishes of it for just 138 PHP.

Taipei Kita's Torched Beef Cubes (120 PHP) is another great and filling appetizer. They also offer unli fried tofu for 120 PHP!

The Masala Bar gives you unique Indian dishes with bursts of flavor, just like this Beef Masala Quesadilla (165 PHP), a cheesy and filling treat that can either be an appetizer for two to three people or a whole meal!

Chixy9's 12-piece buffalo wings (289 PHP) are my favorite, filled with a lot of sauce but not missing the crunch I love in my wings. I recommend the garlic parm and spicy buffalo! They also offer unli buffalo wings for just 249 PHP.

Tokyo Tempura offers the Imperial Tempura (155 PHP), which is 12 pieces of shrimp tempura! An affordable option for those who want their Japanese fix. If you're up for it, go for their unli tempura for just 199 PHP!

They also have the Salted Tempura, an interesting twist to the usual dish (115 PHP).

Japbox was up next, with more Japanese dishes. For starters, you can opt to get the California Maki (99 PHP) or go for unli gyoza, which is 199 PHP.

The Sukiyaki (160 PHP) isa  big bowl good enough for two people!

Japbox also offers affordable rice meals that range between 130 PHP to 170 PHP, with your choice of steamed or fried rice. For those with the stomach, opt for the unli Tonkatsu w/ Misono vegetables and rice for only 289 PHP.

I like Dimsum 777 and their affordable meals, where you can even create your own dumpling box for 99 PHP! They offer unlimited Siomai Rice for only 189 PHP.

Brick Plate offers pizza good for three to four people for just 180 PHP each. My favorite would be the Pulled Pork!

My favorite from Brick Plate has got to be their Shaker Ribs (195 PHP), which is also their bestseller! You can also opt to have unli pasta (of any flavor, Italian, Carbonara, or Cajun) for 250 PHP.

Metro Meat Express offers the Longanisa Burger (160 PHP) which comes with tater tots. Indulgent and delicious, it reminds me of the Filipino breakfast with pan de sal (How I wish they used pan de sal!). they offer unli bacon strips or longsilog for only 249 PHP (per dish).

And for dessert, Sweet Nothing offers a lot of sweet and creative milkshakes, like the Strawberry Shotcake and Matcha Green tea, which are both just 130 PHP. And if you feel like quenching your thirst, go for their bottomless juice of the day, which is 120 PHP.

And to cap it off, another uniquely designed treat from Taipei Kita, their mint ice cream! Yes, that's ice cream and I can't wait to try this soon. :p

All in all, it was a pretty cool experience! I liked their many choices and how chill the place is. With a good music and even a TV, you're entertained and ensured an awesome time with either family or friends.
